Other Information:a) Conference Language: The official language of the conference is English. b) Visa: EU, US and Canada citizens do not need a visa to enter Romania. For more details see the web site of the Ministry of Foreign Affair: http://www.mae.ro/index.php?lang=en c) About Cluj-Napoca: Population: 350.000 inhabitants, Distance from the capital (Bucharest) : 420 Km. Ancient culture and civilization centre, Cluj-Napoca (Kolozsvár in Hungarian, Klausenburg in German, Claudiopolis in Latin) is the main city of Transylvania. It is the second university, cultural and financial center of Romania. The city has two names: Napoca (the name of the ancient Roman settlement) and Cluj (the Latin name meaning ”closed town” surrounded by hills). After the Romans had conquered Dacia, the town benefited from major developments. Its Roman name was Napoca, and it was an important economic and commercial center. The city reflects the history of the region: autonomous principate under Turkish suveranity (XVI–XVII centuries), part of the Habsburg Empire as an autonomous principate (end of XVIIth century– middle of XIXth century), part of Austrian–Hungarian Empire (1867–1918), from 1918 united with Romania. Some good sites with further information about Cluj-Napoca (including a map of the city) are: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g298474-Cluj_Napoca-Vacations.html http://www.romaniatourism.com/cluj.html#airport d) How to reach Cluj-Napoca: • by plane : - directly to Cluj-Napoca (from Viena, Munchen, Frankfurt, Milano, Budapest, etc.) For the flight schedule of the International Airport of Cluj-Napoca see: http://www.airportcluj.ro/en/hpg.html - to Bucharest (the capital of Romania), then taking a domestic flight or the train to Cluj-Napoca. The timetable of TAROM (The Romanian Air Transport) could be consulted at the following web site: http://www.tarom.ro/english/index.php • by train: Cluj-Napoca is about 7 hours distance from Bucharest, 6 hours from Budapest (Hungary). The English web page of the Romanian Railways (CFR) may be useful, see: http://www.cfr.ro/default_engleza.htm • by car: If you travel from Western Europe take from Wien to Budapest the freeway M1, then Debrecen, cross the border at Bors to arrive in Oradea and then in Cluj-Napoca. e) Currency Exchange: The local currency is Romanian Lei (RON). There are lots of Exchange Offices in Cluj-Napoca (inclusive in the International Airport Cluj-Napoca) and the changing currency in Romania is not expansive (usually there are no extra charges). Only major foreign currencies (USD, EURO) can be exchanged.
***The reviewed papers will be published in the journal FIXED POINT THEORY or in STUDIA UNIV. BABEŞ-BOLYAI seria MATHEMATICA.
