The development or research partnerships towards European integration of the Romanian mathematical research in  the fields of nonlinear analysis, differential topology and their applications  (Contract  130/2006,  CEEX III/P-INT-VIZ)



 1. Past Activities
        a) Kick-off project meeting  It was the first meeting of the members of the project (all the 11 members were present). The activity              was held  in September 1st, 2006, at the   "Babeş-Bolyai" University. There have been discussions on the management of the                 project.
        b) Project presentation seminary  It was a meeting of the members of the project with diverse interested persons. The meeting was           held in October 6th, at the "Babes-Bolyai" University and it was attended by about 25 participants
.
        c)The visit of 
Prof. Dr. W.A.F. Ruppert,  from the  University of Applied Sciences from  Wien, Austria,  between 18 and 29                       September  2006.  There were discussions related to the researches from the field of Lie subsemigroups, as well as to the possibility         of extension of the connections with Romanian researchers (in particular, from Cluj-Napoca).
        d) The visit of Prof. Dr. A. Nemethi,  from The Mathematical Institute of The Hungarian Academy, Budapest, Hungary, between 2         and 7 November 2006. Professor gave an exposition with the subject Poincare Series and Applications to Topology and Number               Theory . There were discussion meant to identify common research themes.      

         e) The visit of Prof. Dr. Z. Muzsnay,  from the University of Debrecen, Hungary, between 15 and 18 noiembrie 2006. Professor                Muzsnay gave an exposition with the subject  Invariant Variational Principles  for canonical flows on Lie Groups. There were                  discussion meant to identify common research themes.
   
     2. Future activities
       a) The visit of Dr. Liana Ţopan to Budapesta, May 2007
       b) The visit of Dr. Dorin Andrica to Grenoble, June 2007
       c) The visit of  Dr. Paul Blaga to Ancona,June 2007
       d) The summer school "Critical Point Theory and Applications", Cluj-Napoca, 9-13 July 2007, organisers: Cs. Varga, A. Kristaly           and   P.  Blaga
